Experimental Inkjet Printing - Digital Skin

Here is another example of the experimental methods I have been exploring in my class. The pieces above were made with two of the clear CDs that come in the large stacks, covered with digital skins. The skins were made with gloss medium painted onto a carrier sheet (cutting mat from Wal-Mart) coated with ink-aid and printed on. I then peeled off the skins and adhered them to the CDs using spray adhesive. Its hard to tell from the scans above but they are translucent due to the clearness of the CDs. I sprayed the backs with white spray paint to give them more substance but they are still very unique pieces. Let me know what you think.
